Slamna vas is a village to the north of the town of Metlika in the Bela Krajina area of southeastern Slovenia, on the border with Croatia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Jugovzhodna Slovenija statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to the Holy Cross and belongs to the Metlika parish. It was built in the 18th century in the Baroque style and was extensively rebuilt in 1841.[3]
